It was a very pleasant experience! The apartment we stayed in was sufficient for our needs and within our budget. |

This was my first trip to New York. We came as a family of four, with two children aged 2 and 12. It was a very pleasant experience! The apartment we stayed in was sufficient for our needs and within our budget. It was neat, clean, warm, (we were there in winter-January), and very well positioned. It was also long and narrow! Very different from home! Which is, of course, the point. We felt safe, and coming from South Africa, I was surprised to find that in New York you can walk around safely in the streets at night. A New York block is much smaller than a South African block, so everything was closer than expected. We were very conveniently situated for all the tourist attractions. People were friendlier than expected. Although we were chastised about the amount of luggage we carted around, we still managed to find place for it in the vacation rental without tripping over it. We panicked when we lost the key on the day we left, but eventually found it in an ice cream box in the freezer, so at least it was an appropriate temperature for a New York winter! All in all, a splendid time was had by all. Thank you for finding us an apartment that was perfect for us! |
