This fully furnished 1 bedroom apartment is located on the 4th floor of a 4-story walk-up townhouse built in 1846 in Brooklyn Heights, New York. Wireless internet and air conditioning is included in this apartment. The living room has a brick working fireplace, a sofa and a television with cable and a DVD player. There is a single-sized roll-up mattress available. The bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed, a dresser and a desk and also has a closet for extra storage space. The kitchen is separate from the living room and includesa microwave, coffee maker and toaster in addition to all the basic amenities. Each room of this apartment benefits from natural light from at least one window. Brooklyn Heights is one of New York's most charming and safe neighborhoods. The movement to preserve vintage architecture which resulted in the creation of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission began in Brooklyn Heights in the 1960s. Many of the buildings in Brooklyn Heights date from the 19th century and their character and charm are rigorously protected. This area of Brooklyn has many local attractions: Schermerhorn Street is just three blocks from the very active and highly regarded restaurant scene along Smith Street. Some places to consider: Saul Cafe LuLuc, Grocery (reservations absolutely required), Vecchia Caserta. For more casual dining, on Clinton at Congress Street (5 blocks) is Cafe on Clinton; a charming local tavern with great food and a convivial bar with outdoor tables in nice weather. Entertainment is just around the corner at UA Court Street cinema, which has 12 screens showing current run movies on Court Street between Schermerhorn and State Street. Additionally, a Barnes and Noble bookstore with a Starbucks Cafe inside is located on the corner of Schermerhorn and Court Streets. This apartment is closely situated to public transit. The 2/3/4/5/M/R are all just a 2-3 block walk away and will connect you to Manhattan and the rest of Brooklyn.
