Also within walking from the Theatre District, 42nd Street, and the Garment Center. Perfect for out-of- town buyers and conventioneers. Ninth Avenue to the North is the home of many original produce, meat/poultry and Italian bakeries and delis for the gourmet cook while to the South is the Chelsea district with colorful Eighth Avenue and its restaurants and shops, alongside the new gallery area to the West. Most uptown and downtown galleries have new branches or have relocated to that area. For the workout enthusiast, Chelsea Piers Sport Complex is only a 5 minute cab ride away and offers a complete gym- the largest in NYC - bowling, ice skating, sailing, horseback riding and other activities.
