Building:This Studio Apartment is located on the garden level of this beautiful, turn of the century brownstone and has exclusive access to the patio & garden. This 1885 fully restored Victorian residence is situated on a quiet tree lined street and just minutes away from all conveniences, transportation and entertainment. With your own key, you will enter your apartment through both an exterior gate and internal door (both locked at all times). At night, the entry way is brightly lit by a brand new motion detector. Visitors will use an individual intercom system. For your convenience, the brownstone residence provides an onsite exercise room with state of the art equipment and a coin operated laundry facility.
Interior: The Garden Studio Apartment is newly restored. It's mint green walls and matching bed covers contributes to its cheerful atmosphere. With hardwood floors and two windows looking out onto the patio/garden, it is equipped with a queen size bed, night table, dresser, full length clothes closet, table/desk, chairs, TV, air conditioner, individual thermostat, telephone, internet hookup, hair dryer, alarm clock, iron & ironing board. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator, stove with oven, toaster, coffee pot, teakettle, pots, pans and all other utensils and dishware. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower. All linens, towels and soap are provided.
Neighborhood: Stepping out of the brownstone and walking half a block, you'll find yourself on the expansive Lenox Avenue where you will immediately feel the energy and witness the transformation of the New Harlem Renaissance. The Historic Mount Morris Park District of Central Harlem, Manhattan contains a wide variety of restaurants, jazz clubs, retail & ethnic shopping, cultural & religious institutions and beautifully appointed architectural buildings for your aesthetic pleasure. The Historic District is just a 7-minute walk from Central Park, with its public swimming pool, concerts, horseback riding, zoo, skating rink, jogging and bicycle paths. In addition, you will be conveniently located near Columbia University, St. John The Divine Cathedral, the 5th Ave. Museum Mile, The Apollo Theater, The Cotton Club and Yankee Stadium.
Other: Public transportation is convenient and abundant; you are near all area airports, bus & rail terminals and 15 minutes away from midtown Manhattan. On the corner of 120th Street you will find the M7 bus, which takes you the entire length of Manhattan via Broadway, and one block away is the Fifth Ave. bus.
