Building: Perfectly placed in-between the East Village, Union Square & Gramercy Park, this apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a four-story walk up building. Front entry is secure with 2 locked doors. There is a dry cleaner or tailor across the street.
Interior: This Southern Facing apartment is spacious with 13 foot tin ceilings and wide planked wood floors. Two ceiling fans circulate in the kitchen and living area. The living room and dining area have 2 decorative fireplaces with mantles. The living room has a comfortable sofa, which does not pull out, and a color television w/ remote, VCR & full digital cable. The dining area seats 4 to 6 comfortably. The master bedroom is cozy with a double bed and bed linens. Also available in the bedroom: color television with a remote and select cable channels, beautiful wooden desk, a dresser, large shelf and hanging space for storage. The kitchen has a wall of shelves, a gas stove and microwave oven. Utensils, cookware & dishware available. The bathroom has a bathtub w/ shower. Towels are provided. There is a sleep loft that overlooks the living area. It has a double bed w/bed linens, parquet floors and a 5 disc cd player.
Neighborhood: conveniently located in the middle of 3 bustling areas 14th Street is surrounded by culture, excitement and shopping. Union Square is just a 5 minute walk away with free outdoor musical and literary events on Wednesdays, while every Monday. Wed, Fri & Sat. you can find yourself in the middle of the hustle & bustle of the world renowned Farmers Market w/ loads of fresh produce, fresh cut flowers and plants as well as delicious goodies. Gramercy Park also a 5-minute walk away offers architecture and many tasty restaurants. The East Village is known for it's numerous music venues, clubs, cafes, boutiques and antique shops. Restaurants of all different ethniticities abound. At your fingertips are 5 different movie theaters showing everything from big Hollywood productions to Indy films.
Others: Public transportation is everywhere. The L train is on the corner and will take you across town or to Brooklyn and to connections for Uptown and Downtown. If above ground is your
preference the crosstown bus is right out the door. On 2nd and 3rd Avenues you can catch either limited or local buses. Union Square is home to the numbers 4,5,6 & N,R subway systems.
