Very large two bedroom apartment to rent in Greenwich Village.
|
Location: New York City, Greenwich Village, Waverly Place between Sixth Avenue and Mc Dougal Street
Size: 2 bedroom, 1 bath, large terrace, approximately 1200 square feet
Building: The apartment is on the 2nd floor (33 steps up, no elevator) of an 1842 brownstone in the heart of Greenwich Village. Waverly Place is a lovely tree-lined street, the site of several Henry James' novels. For security reasons, the front door is kept locked and each tenant has his own key.
Interior: Light and spacious, with plenty of windows, there are high ceilings with the original moldings. There is a large bedroom with a queen size bed and cable television, and a smaller bedroom with a double bed. All bed liens are supplied. There are two large closets, and several chests of drawers. The living room has a sofa bed, cable television and a telephone with answering machine. Also, there is a dining table. In the kitchen there is a standard oven and cook-top, a microwave oven, a toaster oven, a coffee maker and a dishwasher. There are plenty of dishes, table ware, and pots and pans. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower, and is completely supplied with all necessities, including all bath linens.
Each room is air-conditioned separately, (except the kitchen and bath).
Neighborhood: Located across the street from one of New York's finest and most popular restaurants, Babbo. Also ˝ block from Washington Square Park. Nearby are the famous food shops of the village, ethnic restaurants of all kinds, antique shops, off-Brodway theatres, and movies. Plenty of night life with discos and jazz clubs.
Transportation: Near all subway lines (there is a major subway station at the corner) there is regular bus service on Sixth Avenue (50 feet away), and taxis can be hailed in front of the house. Access to A, B, C, D, E, F trains at West 4th Street.
