One bedroom in Upper West Side with a back garden
|
Location: New York City Upper West Side West 90th St. between West End and Riverside Drive.
Size: 1 Bedroom, 1Bath. Approximately 700 square feet. Sleeps 2 only.
Building: Located on the beautiful Upper West Side, this New York apartment is located on the ground floor of a four story townhouse. The building is away from noise and the entire block is tree lined. Security is excellent: front door is kept locked and entry is with your own key or, for visitors through and intercom system. There is also a wonderful block association that provides a block guard Monday through Friday from 5 pm until 2 am.
Interior: This spacious apartment with hardwood floors, a/c and track lighting has a decorative fireplace in the living room. Overall the place has an artsy feel with its many paintings, sculpture, textiles and pottery. There is a piano in the living room along with numerous opera scores, a stereo system and hundreds of classical, gospel, and soul recordings. There is also a cable TV with DVD player.
The bedroom has a queen-size bed and computer with high speed internet access in the bedroom. Bed linens are provided.
The kitchen is equipped with stove, a sink, and a refrigerator with freezer compartment. Pots and pans as well as dinnerware are included.
The bathroom has a bathtub and shower. Towels are provided.
Neighborhood: Less than one hundred steps and you're in beautiful Riverside Park. It has beautiful flower gardens and a promenade overlooking the Hudson River. Go in the other direction and you're just steps away from the hustle of upper Broadway. This neighborhood is full of local food shops and ethnic restaurants. Barzinni's Gourmet Shop and Zabar's are both within a few blocks of the front door. Art and music is important to the upper west side this is evidenced by the Metropolitan Opera and Lincoln Center, Museum of Natural History, Jewish Museum and New York Historical Society along with Columbia University, and numerous jazz clubs and coffee houses. There are also three movie theatres and fantastic boutique shopping along Broadway and Columbus Avenue. Just three blocks beyond Broadway you'll find Central Park, with it's many trails, lakes, wooded areas along with the very public fields, sporting areas and playgrounds the Upper West Side has it all.
Others: Public transportation is everywhere. Bus stops are a block away on either Broadway or Riverside Drive. Subway stations for the Broadway lines are less than 3 minutes on foot and taxis can be hailed anywhere at anytime day or night.
