This studio apartment is located right in the heart of the Place de la Contrescarpe and the rue Mouffetard district that are located on the southern slope of the "Montagne Sainte Geneviève". They preserved a traditional and typical aspect of Paris. The Place de la Contrescarpe is the ideal spot to stroll, to have a drink at the terrace of a café.... Known writers, like Hemingway, resided here. The rue Mouffetard is one of the oldest streets of Paris, as in the Gallo-Romaine time it was the starting point of the road towards Lyon and Rome. While descending it one can observe many typical houses and the crossing streets have preserved their original names: "rue de l'Arbalète", "rue du Pot de fer".... But the most remarkable aspect of the rue Mouffetard is the open-air markets with it's great choice of fruits, vegetables and other fine french products like cheeses or pastries. The street reaches then the Place and the Church "Saint Medard" that was built in twelfth century. Nearby, is the Arènes de Lutèce (with it's park and Gallo-Romaine vestiges), the Pantheon, the College de France, the Sorbonne and Jussieu University, the Jardin des Plantes, the Institut du Monde Arabe, The Mosquée de Paris (with it's beautiful traditional hamam baths, mint tea and pastries), the Jardin du Luxembourg as well as the Seine River and its traditional second hand booksellers, and delectable islands.
This studio apartment is located at the second floor of a five floors building. It has a full time digicode and intercom security system.

The entrance door opens on a small corridor with the the bathroom straight ahead, the room and it's open kitchen and mezzanine bed to the left.
The corridor has white walls and beige tiled floor, there is a mirror.
The bathroom has white tiled floor and white and green tiled walls.
There is a toilet, a shower with a nice colored shower curtain, a metal washbasin surmounted by a small cabinet with a rounded mirror.
The open kitchen has beige tiled floor, white, orange and brown tiled walls and white cabinets.
It is furnished with a microwave oven, a refrigerator and all necessary utensils.
The room has white walls and a wooden floor. There is a window with white curtains and a view on a courtyard.
It is furnished with a white double size sofa bed, a television, a phone, bookshelves, a white folding table with two blue chairs, a wooden wardrobe and lamps.
There is a wooden ladder that leads to the mezzanine. It is furnished with a double size bed, shelves and a lamp. There is a phone jack in the room.
The nearest subway station is Place Monge (Line 7).
