Spacious two-bedroom apartment in the Grands Boulevards area
|
Neighborhood:
A lively district, Grands Boulevards contains the most famous and traditional Parisian department stores as well as a large variety of restaurants and cafes. The area is made up of boulevards -- de la Madeleine, des Italiens, Saint Martin, des Capucines, Montmartre, Poissonnière, Saint Denis, Bonne-Nouvelle, des Filles du Calvaire, Beaumarchais, and du Temple -- and the intersections of numerous shorter streets. There are some remarkable passageways -- Verdeau, des Panoramas and Jouffroy -- as well as the prestigious Vivienne Gallery. It is also a short distance by subway or bus to other places of interest such as the Opera, Champs Elysées, and Saint Germain des Près.
Premises:
This 130m² (approx. 1,390 sq. ft.) loft style apartment is located on the second floor (third in the USA) of a 19th century elevator building and has an east exposure. A coded security system, an intercom, and a full-time caretaker protect the main entrance gate. This gate opens onto a courtyard and the building is to the right.
Layout:
Upon entering is a hall furnished with a built-in closet, a cabinet and a console. It opens to the living room and an open kitchen. Across the living room, to the right, is a corridor featuring a built-in closet, and leading to the bedrooms, bathroom, and separate toilet.
Four windows overlooking the street lend plenty of light to the 58m² (approx. 620 sq. ft.) living room. It is furnished with a sofa, two armchairs, and poufs around the square coffee table. Opposite, there are a rectangular wooden dining table and four matching chairs (six extra folding chairs are available), a telephone, a stereo and lamps. The telephone is restricted to incoming calls.
The open kitchen is equipped with four gas burners, a gas traditional oven, a multifunction oven, a hood with an exhaust fan, a refrigerator-freezer, a dishwasher, an electric kettle, a toaster, a stainless steel sink, and three stools. Necessary utensils are stowed away in the cupboards.
The 22m² (approx. 235 sq. ft.) master bedroom has windows opening onto the street. It is furnished with a queen size bed, a single size leather sofa, bookshelves, a desk, and a chair.
The 18m² (approx. 190 sq. ft.) second bedroom has windows overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with single size bunk beds, a double size sofa bed, a chest of drawers, a closet, a desk and two chairs.
The bathroom is equipped with a tub and showerhead, a tiled shower stall, a washing machine, wall-mounted lamps and a large mirror above the double white ceramic washbasins. There is a separate toilet.
There is a closet in the corridor.
The closest metro stations are Bonne Nouvelle (lines 8 and 9) and Sentier (line 3).
Heat and hot water use gas and are individually metered.
