Two bedroom apartment in the South of the Quartier Latin

Neighborhood: This apartment is situated in the Fifth Arrondissement in the Quartier Latin south, between Boulevard du Port Royal and rue Bertholet. Part of a very attractive and historic area of Paris, this little residential street borders the 13th Arrondissement. A few steps away is one of the oldest streets in the city, rue Mouffetard, with the well-known, daily open-air market. All around the neighborhood there are many restaurants, cafes, and other services. In fair distance, to the northeast, the green expanses and pools of the exceptional Jardin du Luxembourg, perfect for a relaxing walk, soften the urbaneness of the area. To the north are the Pantheon, the Boulevard Saint Germain, and the Seine River, and to the northeast are the universities and the attractive Jardin des Plantes. Premises: North and south exposed, this 80m² (approx. 860 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartment is located on the third French floor of a 19th century building equipped with a security system and a narrow elevator. It has off-white walls and a well-kept parquet floor. There is an entry corridor containing a wooden piece of furniture used for storage and leading to the other rooms. Facing the main door, the 24m² (approx. 255 sq. ft.) living room is furnished with a sofa and two armchairs, a rectangular coffee table, a single-size bed, a desk, a cable TV with a DVD player, a phone restricted to reception calls and a wall-to-wall wood bookcase. The two windows draped with brick-colored curtains overlook the little street. At the end of the corridor, the 14m² (approx. 150 sq. ft.) dining room has a window overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with a large rectangular dining table, four straw-bottomed chairs, a dresser, and a chest of drawers. On the street side, the first 12m² (approx. 125 sq. ft.) bedroom has a double bed with bedside tables and lamps, a wardrobe, a floor lamp, and a double-glazed window on the street side with brown curtains. The second 12m² (approx. 125 sq. ft.) bedroom is furnished with trundle beds (single size), a chest of drawers and a closet. It has also a double-glazed window, which overlooks the street. The door of this bedroom has no locking system. Across the dining room, the kitchen is equipped with a traditional electric oven, four gas burners, a small refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, a toaster, a stainless steel sink, basic utensils stowed in the cupboards, a brown worktop, a dishwasher and a washing machine. In the partly brown tiled bathroom is a bathtub with a wall-mounted showerhead, a white ceramic washbasin, a medicine cabinet, and a toilet. The second bathroom has a washbasin, a shower and a toilet. There is also a walk-in closet accessible through the entrance corridor and which can be used as a drying room. There is an Internet access in the living room and the dining room. The closest metro station is the fast RER B Port Royal, or, a little farther, Les Gobelins, Censier Daubenton (line 7) and Glaciere (line 6). Much closer there are six bus lines (21, 27, 38, 47, 83, 91).
