Two-bedrooms apartment facing the Port de l'Arsenal

Neighborhood: This apartment faces the Port de Plaisance, also called Port de l'Arsenal, where diverse types of boats are moored and whose banks lead to the well-known Place de la Bastille and its opera. This apartment is also very close to the latest modern art museum of Paris, la Maison Rouge, inaugurated June 5, 2004 on the Boulevard de la Bastille. Within short walking distance is the royal Place des Vosges, the oldest and most beautiful square in Paris, where many historic personalities lived, including Charles VI and Victor Hugo.The area around the Place des Vosges is also renowned for its museums, art galleries and antique stores. The apartment is within walking distance of the Picasso museum in the Marais area. The neighborhood around the apartment has all sorts of convenience shops and other services, as well as outdoor markets on Thursday and Sunday mornings especially. The village and parc de bercy are also only a subway ride away, as well as the Passerelle Simone-de-Beauvoir(bridge solely for pedestrians and cyclists across the Seine in Paris that links up the 12th and 13th arrondissements of Paris). Premises: This 80m² (approx. 860 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartment is located on the third floor of a 1960s building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system that opens into a small hall with a second door protected by an intercom. This last door opens into the building hallway leading to the elevator. All windows are double glazed and all have electric blinds. The 33m² (approx. 355 sq. ft.) living room has two sliding bay windows with exterior shutters that overlook the street and offer a nice view of the Port de L'Arsenal. These windows access a narrow balcony and have a western exposure. The living room is decorated in a contemporary style and has a parquet floor. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a sofa, a coffee table, a dining table with chairs, a sideboard, a small table, an antique style desk with a matching armchair, and shelves with a nice collection of books. This room also has a stereo system. The 10m² (approx. 105 sq. ft.) first bedroom has a double-glazed sliding window with exterior shutters; it overlooks the courtyard with an eastern exposure. It is furnished with a single-size bed, a desk, a built-in closet and some shelves. This room has a small TV with a DVD player. The 12m² (approx. 125 sq. ft.) second bedroom has a double-glazed window with the same view and the same exposure as the first. It is furnished with a double-size bed, two bedside tables, an antique style chest of drawers, and a closet. The separate kitchen has a window and is equipped with four gas burners topped by a cooker hood, a refrigerator/freezer, a combo grill/microwave/traditional electric oven, a washing machine, a dryer, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle. The tiled bathroom has a bathtub with a showerhead and a washbasin. The toilet is separate. The entrance corridor has a built-in closet hidden by a curtain and a phone. A DSL Internet access is available. There is also a secure parking space available in the same building. The nearest metro station is Bastille (lines 1, 5, 8). Heat and hot water are both collective with the building. PLEASE NOTE: the neighboring building is undergoing demolition and renovation. This apartment has double-paned windows but construction noise is present.
