Very nice location - BUT... The apartment is run down - and not well maintained. No doors or cabinet drawers work well - all get stuck opening or closing. Bed spreads were threadbare and town.

Towels were stiff and hard. Paint was peeling off the walls, etc. The owner does not appear to be spending any money maintaining the property.

Thank you. I don't agree with the fact that the apartment is rundown (please see the photos). The only thing I have to do, and I think I'll organize that in the springtime, is have all the windows + shutters repainted.

The furniture is from antique dealers so it's normal that the drawers don't open as easily as the ones from Ikea.

Together with my apartment manager, I decided to buy new bedspreads and towels.

Very good location, very comfortable accommodation. The only flaw is that the lighting is very faint.

The apt. is in desperate need of updating the furniture in the frontroom very old and uncomfortable.

The area of the location of the apt. is wonderful!!
The apt. is situated near a night club and when the club is exiting 4-5 AM it is extremely NOISEY and then at 6 AM the garbage trucks arrive to empty all the bistros and night club bottles. Most days there was no sleep between 4AM and 8AM.
Having said that the location made up for the lack of sleep.
Would not recommend this apt. for people with small children or those that require a lot of sleep.

This vacation rental is in the heart of the Latin Quarter with lots of cafes, restaurants, shops etc and next to the building, there is a very famous restaurant "L'Alcazar" where they play music on Saturday nights.
I think it's true the street is noisy on Friday and Saturday nights but only on those days.

This was our second stay at this apartment.
The location is excellent, and the apartment is perfect for two couples; the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment and separated by the living/dining room.

Everything worked fine; wireless internet, washing machine, kitchen appliances, etc. The wooden shutters could use some work (paint is peeling). Saturday night was little noisy with partiers from the nearby establishments carrying on in the street. Other nights were fairly quiet.

The owner is very nice, and easy to deal with. The local agent was also very nice and helpful. I would recommend this apartment.

Indeed, the shutters need to be repainted but during the year, we never had the time because of the rentals or because the painter wasn't available. I am planning the works for the month of August.

This apartment is in an excellent location; really, you couldn't ask for a better location!

The beds provided, though large by European standards, werre rock-hard. The living-room furniture was very old, and the couch was sway-backed. The kitchen, though small, was very functional. The refrigerator/freezer held all our groceries. The hardwood flooring was uneven and thudded with every step.

Although it sounds like this place was a disaster, because of the pristine location, I would recommend staying here.

1. the beds: they are orthopedic mattresses
2. the furniture: yes, the furniture is antique, hence very valuable. I understand that not everybody like antiques but I cannot change all the decoration in the apartment for this reason. I will check the sofa.
3. the flooring: it is even very old, 16th Century.

The location was fabulous! However, the apartment needs updating. The shower heads were old and didn't have good pressure and the water temperature was a problem. The beds were extremely hard and there were not enough pillows. The towels were old and rough. One of the walls in the kitchen was water stained and looked like it was soaked through. There was not enough seating in the living room, it needs at least one more comfortable chair.

Further to this review, we contacted the accommodation owners who stated that the shower heads have been repaired and that they will verify the water pressure. They added that they will buy more pillows.
As for the sheets and the towels, they asked their representative to take this point into account.
The kitchen wall was stained because of a leak from 6th floor and the owner assured that they will do some paint work to fix it.
As for the chairs, the owner is not planning to add new ones for the time being.
