Henry IV once called a man from the South of France “the brave of the brave.” In Murs, the medieval town where Louis des Balbes de Berton de Crillon was born, it is not so difficult to see why a man would put his life on the line to protect his home. The other two have two single beds each. All five bedrooms have air conditioning and a TV. The five bathrooms each have a shower and two have a tub. When the sun sets, garden lights illuminate the property, spotlighting choice plants and highlighting paths.
Ideally located, this villa allows you to explore Provence in grand style. 8 kilometers (around 5 miles) away, you could find yourself strolling through paved streets in the nearby Gordes commune, looking out over le Parc de Luberon. Le château and l’église Saint-Firmin are two sites you will not want to miss if you visit. Classified as an historical site, les Caves du Palais Saint-Firmin take you beneath the village and transport you to a focal point in Gordes’s past. You can also explore l’Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque. Located 1.5 kilometers (just shy of a mile) west of Gordes, you could explore le Village des Bories. The city of Avignon is only a 46 kilometer (around 28.6 mile) trip from this villa and is the place to go if you want a little bit of city on your country vacation.
