Cosy and quiet 2 bedroom apartment with swimming pool access near Uzès.

This property is located only 5 minutes from Uzès. The accommodation is a detached house of a property situated in a beautiful 4 hectares of wooded park, crossed by a viaducq and a river. You enter the property through an automatic iron gate, with a security code. The main building dates late 19th century was used as a pumping station which provided water for the steam trains. For this reason one can see on the front of the house a large stoned chimney.
This two bedroom / two bathrooms with terrace and garden can accommodate 4 4 people. It a two story small house. The apartment itself is approximately 55 sqm.
The layout is as follows :
Ground Floor : You will find the living room with the open kitchen. The living room is equipped with a sofa and armchairs. The open kitchen is equipped with 4 gas burners and a stove, a refrigerator/freezer a coffee maker and a dining table. There is washer and dryer.
Next to the living room is a large bedroom, furnished with a queen size bed with an en-suite bathroom with stall shower, washbasin and a toilet. This room has a French window opening onto the terrace and garden.
1st French Floor :
You have to this floor via an outdoors stair. On this floor you will the second bedroom furnished with a queen size bed and with an en-suite bathroom with a stall-shower, a washbasin and separated toilet. This room has a large French window opening onto a small terrace, facing south.
Outside :
You will enjoy the 4 hectares park with a share swimming pool. The owners who leave in the main house have a great sense of hospitality.
The apartment benefits from a private parking space.
This apartment is located 5 mn from the medieval town of Uzès.The former Dukedom of Uzès leaved us a couple of great monuments in the center of the town. The Ducal Palace itself is one of the best-preserved buildings. Dating from the feudal period, it was originally built to fortify the city and protect it against enemies. The City Hall is an elegant 18th Century building with beautiful pillars. The internal courtyard, bounded by porticoes, is worth a look. The market (Wednesday mornings and all-day Saturdays) takes place on the "Place aux Herbes" surrounded by ancient buildings in the heart of the ancient town. The Uzès area is famous for its wine and olive oil. Wine tasting sessions and visits of cellars would be an original way to discover the "French way of life"! For sport lovers, bicycle riders or pedestrians will find all kind of enchanting itineraries throughout the countryside of Uzès. Discover the landscapes horseback riding would be also possible. Uzès also has a Golf course. The famous "Pont du Gard", listed as historic monument, is nearby. Despite dating from the Roman period, it is in a remarkable state of preservation. To access Uzès, the closest Highway exit is Remoulins on the A9. By train, the closest subway station served by the high-speed TGV is Nîmes or Avignon (3hours and 40 minutes from Paris). The closest airport is Nîmes-Arles-Camargue, which is only for domestic flights. International connections will be made through Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
