Stone house near St Tropez
|
Peaceful and original stone house with pool amidst nature in La Garde Freinet - Near Saint Tropez.
This property is the perfect place for the nature lovers. The old stone villa is located in the middle of a forest of cork oak and pine trees. The area is very peaceful: no close neighbours.
10 minutes drive on a path from the village of La Garde Freinet will lead you to this very authentic property.
The large swimming pool has a beautiful view over the forest and the hills.
The villa faces South and can accommodate 6/7 people.
It is strongly recommended to use a four-wheel drive car on the path.
The layouts is as follows:
The property is composed of 2 houses.
In the main house, there are a living room, a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom.
In the little house "Maison d'amis", you will find a small living/sleeping area, a bedroom and a bathroom.
Both houses have several terraces and there is a swimming pool next the main house.
-Main house:
The living room is furnished with 2 sofas, a coffee table, a cupboard and a chest of drawers.
It is equipped with a TV, a telephone and decorated with a wood-burning stove.
There is a stereo
In the dining area, you will find a rectangular table seating 8, a cupboard, a chest of drawers and a sideboard.
It is equipped with a fireplace and a fan.
A French door opens onto a covered terrace with a table seating 8, another table seating 4 and a barbecue.
A sliding bay window gives access to the garden, where you will find another great table seating 8.
Both the terrace and the garden have a view over the swimming pool and the forest.
The open kitchen is equipped with all the cooking utensils. It has a double sink, an oven, a refrigerator/freezer, 4 gas burners, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster, a kettle and 2 cupboards. It is also equipped with a washing machine.
You have to go through the living room to get to the first bedroom. It is furnished with a double bed and 2 bedside tables, an armchair and a chest of drawers.
The bedroom is equipped with a telephone and a fax machine.
In the second bedroom, you will find a double bed, a bedside table, a dressing table, 2 chests of drawers, 2 chairs and a built-in closet.
There is a TV and a fan.
A French door opens onto a terrace with 2 deck chairs, a sofa and a table. The terrace is surrounded with trees.
The bathroom is equipped with a tub, a washbasin, a toilet and a closet.
-The little house:
You enter in the house by a French door, which also leads to a terrace furnished with a table seating 2 and covered by a pergola.
On the ground floor, there is a living/sleeping area with a single bed and a clothes hanger.
A stair gives access to the first floor.
In the bedroom, you will find a double bed, a bedside table, a clothes rack and a small table.
It is equipped with TV.
A French door opens onto the garden.
You can enter in the bathroom by the West or the East French door but in both cases, you have to go through the outside first.
The bathroom is equipped with a tub/shower, a washbasin, a toilet, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe.
Outside:
The garden allows great walks in the forest. And if you want to refresh, you can enjoy the large swimming pool surrounded by sand. The pool is equipped with an outdoor shower. If you preferred, you can lie in a mattress under a sunshade.
A tent is raised near the house to make some shadow and is equipped with several chairs and a coffee table.
The 2 outdoor tables give you the opportunity to alternate the area where you take meals.
The table under the covered terrace is near a gas barbecue, which you can use at your convenience. It is safe, even in summer because there is a point d eau at proximity in case of emergency.
Near the little house, there are 2 deck chairs and a table. And just a little further, you have 2 chairs, a table and a sofa.
Neighborhood:
It takes 10 minutes drive to get to La Garde Freinet. In the village, you will find all the conveniences to make your everyday shopping.
La Garde-Freinet is an old Provencal village that has successfully preserved its authentic nature. Picturesque roads wind through a wild and gorgeous natural landscape. The Maures Hills host a large forest with various species of tress and typically cultivated grounds. One of the dominant features of the landscape is its vineyards.
The sentry position of this village, at the top of the pass, gained her the name of "guard": Garde-Freinet.
But the village is particularly famous for its exceptional variety of rambling circuits, which will lead nature lovers along wonderful paths going through historic places such as the ruins of the Fort Freinet. This place is a paradise for walkers.
From La Garde Freinet and for bigger shopping you will get to Cogolin or Grimaud in less than 15mn.
There is a horse-riding centre less than 1 km away from the house.
Of course, if you are afraid of loneliness, the famous harbour or the white sandy beaches of St-Tropez are only a few kilometres away. There, the wake of motorboats, as well as the crowd of the young and the restless will take you to another world.

By car: From Aix-en-Provence, Marseilles and Nice, there is a quick access by the A8 motorway, exit "Le Luc". Then, you have to drive 20 km to get to La Garde Freinet.
Saint Tropez is 20 km far away.
By plane: Nice international airport has daily flight from New York and is at 100 km.
Toulon-Hyères national airport is 60 km far away.
