Elegant One Bedroom Apartment with A/C in Cannes - Centre - Close to Palais des Festivals.

This one bedroom apartment of approximately 55 square meters is located on the fourth floor of a contemporary residence equipped with an elevator and an intercom system. The apartment has a nice south exposure. This accommodation is located one Avenue Jean Jaures, within short walking distance from the famous Croisette. It sleeps 2 to 4 people and is available for weekly rentals. You enter the apartment through a small hallway leading to the living room. The living room is furnished with a double size sofa-bed, a sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table and a round dining table. There is a large sliding bay window opening onto the Terrace. There is a flat screen satellite TV with DVD and a stereo. The separate kitchen is fully equipped with counter-tops and cabinets. This kitchen is equipped with a stove, 4 vitro-ceramic hotplates, a microwave, a refrigerator / freezer, a dishwasher and a coffee maker. There is a washing machine. The bedroom has two single beds that can be put together to make a king size bed. There is a window overlooking the street (market place) and a French door with direct access onto the terrace. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower device, a washbasin and a toilet. The apartment has Air Conditioning and a DSL internet access. You will also enjoy the terrace. There is a private parking space in the building. The apartment is wonderfully located, right in the centre of Cannes, on Rue Jean Jaures, facing the Place Gambetta (market place), two blocks from Rue d'Antibes. Very close from the Palais des Festivals this apartment is ideal whether you come to Cannes for work or for vacation. After W.W. II, Cannes quickly became the haunt of crowned heads and billionaires, then the city of Stars, Festivals and International Conventions. Mostly famous for its International Film Festival (in May) the town regularly hosts well-known stars in its many luxury Hotels. On La Croisette, the most famous fashion brands are represented: among others Louis Vuitton, Chanel or Hermès. Of course, restaurants and boutiques are all around. The white-sand beach across La Croisette is usually crowded but remains one of the most famous throughout the French Riviera. The regional center and seat of the department, Nice, is 30 minutes to the east. Here, the Nice train station is served by the high-speed TGV (the "Train Grande Vitesse," only five hours to Paris), and its international airport (Nice-Côte d'Azur) has daily flights from New York. Otherwise most international flight connections are made through Paris. With a car, you can range far and wide on day trips alone: Italy is only 1 hour away. Aix en Provence is 90 minutes distant.
