Furnished studio - Avignon Historic Center

This fully furnished is located on the first walk-up French floor of a small building close to "Pont Bénézet" (bridge) in the historical center of Avignon, in the South of France. You access the building via an interphone system. Due to its double exposure, the furnished studio is bright and overlook two quiet streets. There is a queen size bed. Some bicycles are available in the store room. The apartment is located two blocks from the famous Pont d'Avignon. All shops (restaurants, cafés...) are available a few minutes walk away. Avignon -also known as the Popes' city- has a wealthy historical and artistic heritage. Its formidable stronghold Popes' Palace overlooks the wide expanse of the Rhone River plain and the encircled city. If you want to see one of the most beautiful views of Avignon and its famous uncompleted bridge, you should go the island of Barthelasse. This large island formerly was a refuge for outlaws and deserters in the past centuries. The exceptional view over the city is best admired at sunset; many paintings and etchings have been made of it.
