When visiting London on business or vacation, this two bedroom vacation rental accommodation is ideally situated in the upscale Mayfair borough of central London. Its location at Curzon Street between Park Lane and Berkeley Square sets it right in the middle of some of London’s most exclusive properties, including homes, luxury hotels, and many fine attractions. This period walk-up building features a security system for guest entry.

These vacation rental accommodations averages about 60 square meters (approx. 645 square feet) and is fully furnished; the master bedroom has a queen-size bed while the second bedroom has two single beds. The full bathroom has a tub and shower. The kitchen is complete with oven, microwave, fridge, and freezer, as well as other appliances. There is maid service every day (except Sundays and bank holidays), although extra services may be requested for an additional fee.

Overall we had an o.k. experience at this apartment. The location was fantastic, which made up for its other lacking qualities. The mattresses were some of the worst I've ever felt and I had to put a pillow under my back while sleeping to minimize the old springs digging into my back.

It was nice to have a kitchen; although the dishes and appliances were not clean. We washed any dish before we used it and rather than broiling water in the dirty tea kettle that had old standing water in it we broiled water in a pot on the stove for our tea. Also, the mini refrigerator did not get very cold and some cheese we bought spoiled in there before we turned the temp down to the lowest setting. The living room was nice. The two couches were old but comfortable.

There was a decent sized tv with a good selection of channels as well as free wi-fi. One surprise in the apartment was there was no air conditioning and only one fan, but we made due. Getting into the apartment was fairly straight forward. I called before we travelled to let the managing office know when we would be getting in - around 10:30 am - and was told that someone would be at the office and we could either check-in early if the apartment was ready or if not leave our bags at the office until 3 pm (the regular check-in time). I also called when we landed in London, which was lucky as the desk manager said she was about to leave but would wait for us (suggesting that she was not planning to be there at the time I said we would arrive). But we had no further issues and were able to check-in early.

All in all, we were happy to stay in such a great neighborhood despite the apartments shortcomings.

We would encourage guests to contact reception if they are unhappy with their apartment so that we could address the matters during their stay. With regards to the beds, unfortunately if nobody reports that they are uncomfortable it is very hard to know. Since then we have replaced the mattresses with new ones.

We have not had any reports of the refrigerator not working so we have had maintenance check. He reported back that the dial was set on a high number - the lower the number the colder the fridge. Maintenance reset it on a low setting and no-one with no further complaints.

With regards to the air conditioning, we do not advertise that we have air conditioning at the property.

We rented [this vacation rental] and it was just terrific. The apartment was perfectly situated for our vacation in London's Mayfair area, well equipped and clean. Building staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful. Many thanks to Charlie Rearden for getting us set up.
