With striking crown moldings and a lovely marble decorative fireplace, this one bedroom apartment is a Clinton Hill classic. This part of Brooklyn has many historic brownstones, but this one has been carefully renovated to maintain the charms of its past while adding the conveniences of today. It is situated on the 3rd floor of the 4-story walk-up building (considered as the 2nd floor by Europeans), which has a buzzer-intercom system for guests.
The rooms of this apartment have been simply and practically furnished to enhance the classic features while providing convenience and comfort. The living room has a convertible sofa bed under chandelier lighting, and there is a dining table on the other side of the arched opening. Three windows allow in plenty of light thanks to its upper level situation. If you happen to be in New York during the Marathon, these three large windows offer great views of marathon runners! The kitchen is found between the living and bedroom areas, and has mahogany colored cabinets to contrast with the white appliances, which include a dishwasher. In the bedroom there is a queen size bed and long bureau for storage. A closet is also available for hanging clothes. A ceiling fan helps circulate the air, and an air conditioning unit is available to cool the room in the summer (there is also another in the living room). Last but not least is the bathroom, off of the bedroom, which not only has a jacuzzi-style bathtub with shower, but also a washing machine and dryer! A window provides natural light to this space.
Across the street from this building there is a large supermarket and on the nearest corner is a coffee shop, perfect to stop by on the way to the subway. You can also stop by here on your way home, because it is also a bakery with breads and pastries, as well sandwiches. Clinton Hill offers a range of local shops and restaurants, giving you a chance to try many Brooklyn originals! Around the corner from Lafayette Avenue and Grand Avenue is Urban Vintage, a combination cafe-bar-antique store! The Pratt Institute of Design is only one street north, and St. Joseph's College is also in the area, bringing a young vibe to the neighborhood. In the summer, be sure to check out the Brooklyn Flea Market just 5 blocks west (about 500 meters), where local vendors sell homemade jewelry, vintage items and much more!
Adjacent neighborhoods include Fort Greene, with its namesake park, to the west and Prospect Heights, with its gorgeous brownstones, to the south.
The Classon subway stop is closest to this one bedroom apartment, serving the G train (though the Clinton-Washington stop is not much further, also serving the G). A little over one block away (about 260m), this train runs north/south through Brooklyn to Queens, giving access to trendy places like Park Slope, Williamsburg, Long Island City and more. You can also transfer to the A or C trains (3 stops away), which will take you to Manhattan. New York and all of its conveniences are at your fingertips with this lovely one bedroom furnished apartment.

We rented this apartment for several months while our nearby apartment was being renovated. It was comfortable and had everything we needed in terms of linens, placesettings, television, internet, etc. The landlord Danny was very responsive, ensuring we had heat when the weather was cold and repairing appliances as needed. We enjoyed the big windows, which let in lots of light and afforded a great view of the NYC Marathon. |

First, the owner was great to work with. He was very responsive when we first moved in and had some questions, but on the whole (we were there three months) he seemed to be around only enough to know he was on top of things. |

Myra, it was a pleasure having you stay and I am glad to see that you enjoyed the apartment and the location. I am sorry that you felt the kitchen was lacking some items. Usually, I ask how many guests are coming and determine how many plates and cups to leave in the apartment. |

Thank you for your review, Myra! We are glad that you suggested an inventory list so that we could clarify what supplies are available in the apartment, as we like our clients to have the most accurate information. |
