Overall, me and my girlfriend had a great stay in this apartment. Floyd is a great landlord who's really flexible, friendly and ready to help at any time. We ended up staying in the apartment on the first floor, rather than the top floor. The apt was clean and everything looked great.

Some minor irritations developed when we couldn't stop the tap in the kitchen to stop dripping. Also we noticed quite a few insects, (bugs, cockroaches and ants) in the kitchen and bathroom area. Although they seemed harmless, we weren't able to get rid of them. We tried with several sprays etc.

Then last but not least, there is a minor leak in the sealing that only leaks when the upstairs neighbours have a shower or use the bath. The leak is above the refrigerator.

I do want to mention that our stay was great and when for example our tv broke, Floyd repaired this very swiftly.

Thanks so much for the great feedback Sebastiaan! We are glad to hear you had such a positive experience for the most part. We spoke to the owner regarding the issues you mentioned.

The faucet has been tightened and the leak has been fixed. The apartment is kept very clean so there should no longer be a problem with insects.

At first glance, we liked the apartment. It is located not far from a subway station, very convenient since it takes you directly about eveywhere uptown. Although the neighborhood is a bit grim, we had a good time. Yet we found a few details somewhat baffling.
Only one of the two radiators was working (in a very thrifty way). The windows insulation is very bad. the tub is dubious, because of the tub seals that were not well done. Besides the bathroom plumbing fixtures are giving up the ghost.
And two days before we left, we noticed that water was dripping from the ceiling when it was raining. We also found two cockroaches in the kitchen, which was a nasty surprise.

However, the owner was very nice and accommodating, which we appreciated.
We didn't have a bad stay but we won't come back.

Further to this review, we communicated with the owner and sent one of our agents to visit the apartment.
The owner explained that the heat turns on and off automatically and that cannot be changed.
The leak has been fixed and the whole apartment has been renovated.
