The apartment was excellent - nicely decorated, well equipped and at a discounted rate. I felt at home as soon as I walked in. The landlady was very friendly and helpful prior to and upon meeting me, and when I initially had problems accessing the wifi she was able to help me remotely. The dishwasher did not clean very thoroughly and the brand new oven didn't work, also the air conditioning unit allowed cold air to enter the apartment which left it chilly in the mornings, but the landlady took care of all these as soon as she was aware of the issues. I liked the area - while the distance from midtown was a little inconvenient when subways were cancelled due to extreme weather, it was very quiet, particularly in the evenings, and a reasonable walking distance to a good supermarket, pharmacy etc with a few nice little restaurants nearby.

My brother and I enjoyed a 6 week stay in this apartment. The apartment looks like the pictures, with a generous lounge room, kitchen and bathroom, wifi internet and flat screen TV. The bedrooms are very small, but sufficient for a tourist.

The owner was very helpful as was the building manager.

There is a degree of noise from some of the locals on the street at night and from the old heating pipes, but this was not a worry for me. The couch and some of the walls are a bit run down from previous tenants, an issue the owner is aware of and working on. Also be aware that the owner deals in cash, so you will need a method of rent payment in cash, which is no easy thing to arrange if you did not expect it.

The apartment is right next to 110 street subway and central park. Overall I was happy with my stay.

Thanks so much! I am happy about this nice review John. Please note that my apartment has been completely renovated. Completely repainted as there was some "wear and Tear" marks in certain areas of The wall but having been completely Gutted 2 years ago, believe me there is much Worse out there!

However, I have now completed the revamping of the place...Some pics have been added, and the color of the wall has changed: let me know what you think....

About the cash payment, I did receive some payment via wire transfer in the past but I do not take CC or checks. Lastly, we have been working with a specialized plumber on the pipes issue: in pre-war buildings, its not easy to control these eventual noises, but the issue is now solved and there are no more noises.

Overall, the apartment is quiet though. I am glad you enjoyed New York and hope to see you again in the future. Have a nice day!

Take care
Agnes

The apartment was very comfortable, attractive and well stocked with linen, towels and household goods. Te apartment has wonderful air conditioning and plenty of hot water.

The only down side was that the window leading onto the fire escape did not lock, and the lights in the living room were not working during our stay (meaning it was very dark at night in the apartment).
These small details did not detract too much from our stay.

The convenient location which is both near central park and the B/C and 1 subway lines made our stay in New York City very easy.

We were very happy to have chosen this apartment and would readily stay there again.
The owner of the apartment was easy to deal with and communicated well, making us feel comfortable in the apartment.

Thanks a million.

All minor issues were corrected as soon as I got back. It was just the bulbs and the window was not well adjusted but closes very well. The higher part just had to be pushed up to be able to close.

I always keep the apartment perfect and I am very hands on any issues. I am also very cool and easy with the tenants...
