The apartment experience was EXCELLENT!!! I really enjoyed the month that I lived in the apartment, as it was very comfortable in size with the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room and open space/common areas. The location was excellent with great coffee shops, restaurants, parks (both Charles Schultz Park and Central Park) within 5-15 minutes distance, subway stations nearby and great neighborhood. The owner's were very nice and always happy to help in any way with anything that could potentially come up. Could not recommend the apartment more!

Extremely spacious. Very convenient location. Have nothing but positive things to say about the apartment besides a few things

1) I lived here in the summer, and there wasn't an air conditioning unit in the kitchen or living room - the only one was in the bedroom (thankfully). Would be nice to have at least 1 more so future tenants don't have to stay in their bedroom all the time. It got VERY hot this summer on the 5th floor.

2) There was incident earlier in July where we found 2 cockroaches. It appeared as if they came from the ventilation system under the leftward window in the living room.

3) The doorknob needs to be replaced. I had to screw it in every other day to make sure it didn't fall off completely. The door/doorknob are a nightmare.

4) Toilet doesn't flush well.

Sam, thank you for your review and good ratings. We do our best to help our guest to have the best experience while in NYC. If I'd known of theses issues when they happened I would've helped solving them right away, as we did with the doorknob that was actually replaced as soon as we were notified. I'd have appreciated a text or an email about the toilet, it's something easy to check and fix. We fumigate every 3 months against any pests, just keep in mind is also important to keep the place clean so they are not attracted. Finally, we'll review your suggestion about the A/C.
It was a pleasure to have you and I hope you consider our place for your future trips to NYC.

The apartment owner was great. He was very friendly and extremely helpful, volunteering to bring a lot of our stuff all the way up the five floor walk-up. The apartment was nice. I liked the location, there were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores, even if it was a little far from the subway. Some things could be improved in the apartment itself. The couch and bed were not very comfortable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and thought it was a good value.

Thank you very much for your review, Adam. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and liked the apartment. Indeed, the location is great and the neighborhood has everything needed. I am sorry to hear that you found the couch and the bed were uncomfortable. Please know that the sofa bed in the living room is not intended as a long-term sleeping solution. Thank you again! Nick and Gerie.

I truly enjoyed my stay in this beautiful apartment. Although I was staying far away from home, I felt very comfortable and at home and had all the equipment and amenities I needed. The apartment is located in a very nice neighborhood with all relevant stores, many cafés and restaurants in walking distance. MTA transportation is not very far either and Lexington Avenue is also in walking distance. During my apartment search, I had visited a dozen of apartments and I did like none of them except for this apartment.

The apartment owner also did a fantastic job, he could be reached anytime for any matter and was always very helpful and supportive. At all times, I had the impression of very well being taken care of. When the apartment owner could not make it himself, he managed to send someone else so that I never had to wait.

Should I move back to New York, I will certainly consider renting this apartment again!

The apartment is perfectly located in a quaint and quiet area of Yorkville. I stayed here for 3 1/2 months and just loved it! The landlord met me on my first night and took the time to give me an overview of NY - they were incredibly helpful and responsive during my entire stay! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! The apartment was clean, well furnished and spacious for a NY apartment. It was a great experience!

Our overall impression of the apartment is good. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. It's a 15-minute walk to the subway station on 86th street, lots of grocery shops nearby.

When we got there, one could tell that the apartment had been only superficially cleaned. It was rather dusty. The internet connection was very intermittent, especially during the day, which makes things hard if you have to work home-office.

It's a nice place for two. If you have more people coming, I wouldn't recommend it, since the sofa-bed they offer is old and unconfortable to sleep on for more than a couple of days.

The building seems to be very old. You have to take the stairs to the apartment. I wouldn't recommend it if you are travelling with elderly people, because it can be really tiring.

The owner's daughter was very sweet and helpful, as well as her husband. They made their best effort to solve every problem we had.

We welcome all feedback as a way to make the next experience better. We encourage tenants to communicate their concerns when they occur, that way we can immediately address them. My husband and I live in the neighborhood and are always available.

Time Warner provides Internet service to the neighborhood, we are looking into alternative providers that have a faster service.

This apartment is available for 2 guests and there is a queen-size bed in the bedroom. Therefore, the sofa bed in the living room is intended for sitting, and indeed not as a long-term sleeping solution.
