Imagine stepping off the elevator right into your duplex penthouse in the Upper West Side. This 1500 sqft (139.3 sqm in European) is located at Broadway and West 93rd street, New York’s new family-oriented neighborhood. The apartment also comes with two outdoor spaces on two level. The downstairs deck alone is 550 sq ft. The upstairs deck is additional and overlooks the lower deck.
Like most New Yorkers, having your elevator open right into your apartment isn’t common, but for this apartment, it is. Stepping into this building that was built in the 1930’s, you feel and live like a true New Yorker. This duplex apartment is situated on the sixth and seventh floors of the building (floors five and six for European). In the living room, you are greeted with doors that lead you outside to your terrace. The living room comes with a sofa, TV with cable, and an A/C unit. Proceeding into the dining room, it easily seats four. In the kitchen, you have a fridge and freezer, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, dishwasher, a four-burner stove with an oven, and a window to look out and remind yourself that you are cooking with a view of Manhattan. Both bedrooms are fully furnished with queen size beds, sheets, an A/C unit, and windows. The bathrooms come with a tub-shower, toilet, mirror, and a sink with space underneath for toiletries.
At the corner of Broadway and 95th street you have the subway station with lines 1, 2, and 3, giving you access to all of New York. The Hudson River and Riverside park are located only a block away! From your apartment you can walk three blocks (.5 miles / .8 km) to the west entering Central Park. On the weekend, Central Park becomes the center of New York; runners, casual walkers, dog walkers, bikers, and anyone with a desire to meet someone new. The Upper West Side is also home to the American Museum of Natural History which is 1.1 miles (1.7km in European) away from your apartment. The museum for science lovers hosts dinosaur artifacts, the evolution of humans, and a planetarium. Though, if you are one for the classics and love the opera or ballet, you can hop on the train or walk 1.6 miles (2.5 km in European) to The Metropolitan Opera and the New York City Ballet. The Upper West Side hosts some of the best restaurants in New York, and best shops for a buyer. Though if you are into the classics, or the sciences, or a shopper, or into gastronomy, the Upper West Side is never dull. Don’t forget to take a picture in front of Hotel Empire, the hotel featured in Gossip Girl.
