This colorful two bedroom apartment is located in a part of the East Village known as "Alphabet City", thanks to its lettered street names. Situated on the 3rd floor of a walk-up building (which is considered the 2nd by Europeans), this corner apartment benefits from getting natural light in three directions: northeast, southeast and southwest! All rooms overlook the charming street of this neighborhood. The building includes a buzzer/intercom system to alert you to guests' arrival.
Originally a studio apartment, this unit has been converted into a two bedroom, but still offers windows in every room and two in the bedroom and living room! Both bedrooms have single size beds, but Bedroom 2 also is furnished with a desk and small sofa for relaxing. The living room is simply furnsihed, and has another desk available to create a second workstation. There is also a small dining table to enjoy meals. The kitchen is separate and features countertops and cabinets on three walls, giving plenty of room to prepare dinner! You will find the bathroom near the entrance.
You will find this two bedroom near the intersection of East 5th Street and Avenue C in Manhattan's East Village. This area is popular among New Yorkers for a reason -- there is lots to do in the immediate area! Here are a few highlights:
To commute to the rest of Manhattan, you can catch the bus M9 right in front of the building. It will take you to the Delancey Street / Essex Street subway station served by the F, J, Z and M trains. Bus 14D one block away on Avenue D and runs up 14th Street, past Union Square where 7 more lines (4, 5, 6, L, N, Q and R) will take you anywhere you need to go in New York City!
