For those who need quick access to Manhattan, this studio apartment located at 48th Street & 43rd Avenue in Queens’ Sunnyside neighborhood is a good pick, and it is expertly furnished and ready for your visit to New York City. Your space is on the ground floor, so there are no inconvenient stairs to deal with. The building is pre-war, and a modern security system is provided, with a video surveillance system protecting the entrance to the building in addition to a buzzer and intercom.
Your studio is the perfect place to relax at the end of a busy day in New York. A double sized bed is great for sleeping and enjoying the entertainment center, which includes a flat screen television. Complimentary wireless internet is free for the duration of your stay, and the apartment features ample windows in both the living room and bathroom. The separate kitchen offers an excellent collection of appliances and everything you’ll need to cook. You’ll find the expected shower with bathtub and WC in the bathroom.
Sunnyside is a very convenient place to live and is becoming an increasingly popular residential area. You can find many of the essentials clustered around Queens Boulevard, with a 24 hour grocery store and pharmacy across the street from each other a few blocks away on 46th Street. There are also eclectic restaurant options. Pio Pio Riko is well-known as a great place to enjoy roasted chicken Peruvian-style among neighborhood residents, and they sometimes offer free wine on the weekends. The taco truck located a few feet away is also outstanding. For a great weekend brunch, try one of the cafes along Skillman Avenue to the west. There is also a park popular with neighborhood children and adults visiting the farmer’s market every Saturday during the summer.
The 7 train is easily accessible at 52 Street / Roosevelt Avenue, a short walk from your apartment. The 7 makes local stops throughout Queens before arriving in Midtown, where you can transfer to a variety of other trains that will take you to numerous of destinations across NYC.

The apartment is very good for a short stay of one or two people (we stayed 8 months). The neighborhood is quiet and the restaurants and supermarkets in the area have very good prices. The subway station is very close and line 7 is very safe; in 20 min you are in Times Square. The apartment, being on the first floor, has no natural light, some air comes in through the windows in winter (although the heating is central and you won't get cold, you will feel a draft on your head when you sleep), and when people are talking on the street or entering the doorway, you can hear everything (earplugs help). The building manager is very attentive and quick to respond. If we had a problem (microwave broken, a broken chair...) he immediately sent us a new appliance. |

Apartment met expectations from website. Location was good for value. One thing that could improve is having access to mail and cleaning supplies. |

The size of the apartment is perfect for one person and the location is very convenient, very close to the subway station, several supermarkets, banks and pharmacies. Sunnyside is a beautiful and very quiet neighborhood. The apartment is equipped with appliances and basic linens. I've never met the landlord, but when I needed maintenance a contractor came right away. The pros of the apartments are the location, the size and the abundance of light and air through to the several windows. To be improved are the very slow (and discontinuous) internet connect and the temperature during the winter: the thermostat is set at max temperatures and sometimes it is too hot; the windows, however, are not properly isolated and there are several draughts. |
