Many movies were filmed in this neighborhood, including “How to Marry a Millionaire” and Jodie Foster’s “The Brave One”. There are two supermarkets less than 2 blocks away. You can conveniently find many day-to-day conveniences right around the corner, on Saint Nicholas Avenue. There is also a NYC public library only one block away (less than 200m) from the two bedroom apartment, a great option for students and where you can access the complimentary wireless Internet.
The closest subway station is at 181 Street / Fort Washington Avenue, which serves the 1 train (1 block or about 150m from the room for rent), which runs all the way downtown through Manhattan's west side, past City College (4 stops) and Columbia University (6 stops).
A bit further from the apartment (about 1/2 a mile or 700m), there is access to the A train, which runs express, at 181 Street / Saint Nicholas Avenue.

The owner is so nice, we have a very good time. The only problem is they do not provide air conditioner but a big fan. So it's a little bit hot in summer. All others are perfect. |

I want to be as impartial as possible. Advantages: - a few steps from line 1 of the subway and you can be in Times Square in less than 30 minutes - secure building with two doors and security camera - elevator - flat screen television with high-definition premium channels - small and clean bathroom (it smells the fragrance of lavender) - nice paintings and mirror in the bedroom - nice and polite owners Disadvantages: - small apartment and no access to the kitchen - the bed mattress is worn out and should be replaced - many interruptions of Wifi connection - many guests were invited in the apartment - popular neighborhood with many hawkers |

New York Habitat do more than companies who do rent by owner directly. Our agents do listen to your needs in order to do the best "matchmaking", in your case, for your shared apartment with a roommate. |
