Are you looking for a room to rent, but need a spacious and private accommodation? These rooms for rent in a two bedroom apartment share may be perfect for you!
Located on West 136th Street & Frederick Douglass Boulevard in Harlem, NY, the rooms to rent sit on the 2nd American floor (considered 1st in Europe) of a 3-story prewar townhouse. Use of a staircase is necessary to access the rooms.
Though this is a shared apartment, the accommodations offer maximum privacy and only the bathroom will be shared.
Bedroom 1 is on the south-end of the home, with windows facing the backyard. It features hardwood floors, high ceilings and white molding over purple-tinted walls. On the walls, tenants will find ample shelf space and impressive artwork! More than just a bedroom, this space is furnished as its own studio, you only have to share the bathroom! It includes a queen bed, sofa and a well-equipped kitchen area with cabinetry and appliances such as a fridge/freezer, oven, four electric burners, microwave and coffeemaker. Other accessories in the 203sqft (18.8sqm) room include a cable television and a chic decorative fireplace.
Bedroom 2 provides the same type of décor as bedroom 1 (hardwood floors, white molding) but presents green-hued walls instead of purple. It offers a double bed, chair, dining table and old-world decorative fireplace and has its own living room! The living room has a single sofa bed, a dining table with two chairs, a TV and a decorative fireplace. Only a kitchenette is available with fridge and microwave.
The shared bathroom includes a toilet, shower and sink.

Pretty much a below average apartment to stay in , the experience as a whole wasn't great either. Frequent issues with the internet , around 3-4 times a week, that could be solved only by restarting the router which is in the landlord's apartment. I wouldn't recommand it, unless you really want to live alone in Manhattan for a quite affordable price. The neighborhood isn't really a good , too dirty, too crowded and very noisy. The landlord is nice , friendly and helpful , but one day I had a terrible experience with one of her friends, and 80 years old man, who misbehaved by insulting me and swearing at me continuously , just because I didn t want to let my appartment's door open while being out of it. Also , I wasn't allowed to have my friends staying over whenever they were visiting me, unless they would pay extra 20 dollars per night |
