This room for rent is situated in a one bedroom apartment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. This is an elevator building with laundry access on each floor and there is a doorman at the entrance of the building to provide security.
The apartment is eclectically furnished with 2 tables, one of which is a dining table, 2 arm chairs and a sofa. The roommate uses the living room as their sleeping area, so there will be limited time access. There is also a balcony/terrace off of the living room of which the tenant will have access.
The bedroom for rent is furnished with a queen sized bed as well as a dresser for storaeg space. There is a TV in the room with cable connection including HBO and Showtime channels.
The bathroom and kitchen are also shared with the roommate. The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary items needed to prepare a meal in the apartment.
The Upper East Side is a popular neighborhood of New York City. This apartment is just 3 blocks from Carl Schurz Park, where you can go and relax and enjoy the outdoors on the East River. Central Park and 5th Avenue, where you can find shopping and Museum Mile with many of the big museums of New York, is just a short bus ride away. You will be able to walk to restaurants, including Italian, Mexican and Japanese among others, as well as grocery stores, delis and pharmacies.

I spent six months in this appartment. The room is huge with a lot of storage room. The appartment is clean as a cleaning lady comes every two other weeks. The neighborhood is really nice, with every type of stores at the foot of the building, including supermarkets. Besides, the subway is only two blocks away on the express line, which is very convenient. The lady who owns the place is really nice, it is really easy to talk to her and spend some time with her, and of course she respects your privacy. It xas a very pleasant stay for me. |
