This room for rent is part of a two bedroom apartment share located on the 2nd floor (1st for Europeans) of a walk-up brownstone building in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. The living room, kitchen and bathroom are shared with the roommate (owner of the apartment) who sleeps in the 2nd bedroom.
The living room of the apartment features hardwood floors, a decorative fireplace and paintings that decorate the walls. The room also contains a glass dining table with three intricate chairs, an armchair and a TV with cable. The open kitchen is fully equipped with an oven plus stove, microwave, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker and toaster. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower, WC and built-in washbasin with a large mirror. The private room for rent also features hardwood floors, as well as a window with a northeastern exposure that offers views of a garden below. Right outside your window, you will find a classic New York City iron fire escape ladder. The bedroom contains a single bed, a desk where you can work, a mirror, a dresser and closet for storage.
You can find the two bedroom apartment on President Street & Hicks Street in Brooklyn's Carroll Gardens. The New York neighborhood boasts many brownstone houses, restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Mazzola Bakery, less than two blocks away on Henry Street, is one of the best bakeries in the area, while Lucali, also on Henry Street, is famous for its pizzas! Furthermore, you can enjoy the greenery at Carroll Park, just two blocks away. Other nice neighborhoods worth visiting are Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, and Gowanus, all of which are close by. The nearest subway station is close to the park, on the corner of Carroll Street / Smith Street, about 4 blocks away from the apartment. Here, you can catch the F train that will take you to Manhattan in just 4 stops, or the G train, which will take you across Brooklyn to Queens.
Please note that a small dog lives in the apartment and is cared for by the roommate.
