This spacious one-bedroom apartment is located on a tree-lined street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. It is decorated with antiques and contemporary furnishings.
The apartment opens into a long hallway, with arches, which connects all the rooms. The bedroom is fully furnished with a queen-size bed, desk (computer and Internet access) and a cupboard. The spacious living room and dining area are also fully furnished. They are equipped with a sofa, TV, DVD, a dining table with four chairs and a baby grand piano. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, toaster and a dishwasher. The bathroom contains a bathtub, WC and a sink.
The apartment is conveniently situated among three subway lines, shopping, restaurants, museums and Central Park. It is near Columbus Avenue, Amsterdam Avenue and Broadway, one of the city’s main destinations for entertainment, shopping and dining, including Lincoln Center, the Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The apartment was fine. Good location (for us), quiet, just big enough. Nice furnishings; good bed. Kitchen small, but OK for a short visit (one deficiency: no coffee-maker, just a too-small pottery jug to be used with a Melitta filter). The owner was pleasant and accommodating (it turned out that both she and I are musicians, which didn't hurt). |

My husband and I loved staying in this place. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, providing a refuge for us at the end of each day. It was also immaculately kept. The host was very helpful, providing information in an E:mail about the apartment (plumbing, the ins and outs of using the CD player, etc) as well as about her neighborhood. |
