I stayed in this apartment while studying in Paris. You can not ask for a better location, it is central to where you want to be, trust me! The building is a great building, however there is difficulty with the elevator from time to time. The apartment itself is small, but livable in my opinion.

The views from the apartment though are terrific as you can see Notre Dame and the BD St Germain. Inside the apartment the futon is good, not too soft nor is it hard, but it folds up easily and works well. The heating and cooling situation is using an electric heater or opening the windows. The kitchen is very very small, but gives you all you need.

The two burners for the stove top were not working while I was there, I kept having issues but hopefully it will be fixed soon. The fridge is small but one would be surprised at how much you can store in it. The bathroom, as you can guess, is small, its comparable to a bathroom in an RV. The hot water is enough for one to take a 5 min plus shower, but it worked fine. The pump for the toilet works fine but is a little loud.

The landlord is a great guy who lives next door, he is very understanding and will work with you. Overall this was an apartment that did the job, but there is no better place to live the Parisian life than in that area of Paris.

You are not far from sites, universities, parks, river, bars, shopping, etc etc.

Dear William, it was a pleasure to meet you and I would be happy to see you again if you come back to Paris. Thank you for your kind review and I'm going to try and improve what can be improved.

Regarding the elevator, it broke down once this year, on a weekend of course; it only very rarely happens, I'd say once every two or three years; the delay depends on the maintenance company. I knew there could sometimes be a problem with a burner because renters tend to over soak it to clean it and it doesn't mix with water.

I scheduled an appointment and the hotplate has been replaced. In general terms, I should be made aware of any real trouble so I can step in, but it wasn't the case and I am sorry about that.

In Paris, most apartments have no air conditioning since temperatures are never very high. Besides, I do indeed provide an electric heater which works well. The boiler is small indeed but efficient. The toilet pump is normal, working once and among the quietest grinders as it is the most expensive model on the market.

The view is great and the location really nice and safe. I gradually change some items as they need and I am happy to host foreigners in this part of Paris and to be able to help them at a reduced rate.

The view and location are incredible. The owner is amicable, but not the most responsible landlord. He had promised to install an internet connection into the room, which he never did in the 8 months I was there. Fortunately, the neighbors were very nice and shared.

Furthermore, there isn't much of a kitchen, and if ANY water gets into the electric stovetop, the electricity will shut off for hours.

The studio has seen better days and could definitely use some work, but if you're not spending much time there and don't cook a lot, it's an agreeable living situation.

The internet has been checked and works well now. The owner explained that there is a safety precaution, that makes electricity shut off when water spills on stovetop.
