In Paris’s 7th Arrondissement, in Invalides, there is a street flanked by the Basilique Sainte-Clotilde and the Square Samuel Rousseau, a street which runs just 240 meters (around 787 feet) from end to end—it is le Rue Casimir Périer. Here, above street-level on the 1st floor (equivalent to the 2nd floor in the USA), stretch out in this 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom furnished apartment. This 104 square meter (around 1120 square feet) space sits near the corner of Rue Casimir and Rue de Grenelle. This apartment has a washing machine and a dryer.
While giving yourself a stretch, you will find the living room is completed with wall trim—the kind that runs unbroken across camouflaged doors—elaborate crown moldings, and amber-colored hardwood flooring. Two tall windows illuminate the space. There is a TV and a sofa, a dining table and an air conditioning unit. There is also a decorative fireplace, and if you open the door and venture around the fireplace, you will find yourself in one of the bedrooms (the third bedroom).
This bedroom has a double bed and an incredibly large, wall-covering shelf. Not to be outdone by the living room, it has two tall windows of its own. Across the living room, in the second bedroom you have the option to trade some shelf space for a king bed while keeping tall windows. Here the shelves are fewer in number and recessed into the walls. In the final bedroom (the first bedroom), you will find another king bed. This room has access to a closet-like area. The separate kitchen has an eating area. Perhaps you prefer tossing ingredients from the fridge/freezer into the oven, microwave, or toaster. Or maybe you will satisfy yourself with a drink from the coffeemaker. Clean up with the help of the dishwasher. The first full bathroom has a tub/shower combo and the second has a shower. The half-bathroom has a separate toilet.
In a city as old as Paris, there is plenty to do. In addition to the neo-gothic basilica, you can find several intriguing sites nearby. Depending on the direction you point yourself, a walk of 550 meters (around 0.34 miles) or less will take you to l’Hôtel des Invalides, an important site in the history of France and for the continuation of that history, also le Musée Rodin, where you can see Le Penseur (The Thinker), and the historic Hôtel Matignon, the residence of the French Prime Minister.
If you are thinking about going somewhere farther away, point yourself to the Varenne Subway Station, where you can hop on the 13 train. You can instead hop on the 12 train at the Solférino Station. Both stations are a half kilometer (around 0.3 miles) or less away.
