We rented the apartment for at period of 3 months. We were all absolutely pleased with the area. It is in my own opinion the best area in all of Manhattan. It is close to everything, the subway is just outside your door. The area is buzzing with all kinds of restaurants and at the same time it is nice and quiet. The apartment was also very nice. The size is just fine. The only minus would be that we had to pay a 100USD cleaning fee, and we arrived to a very dirty apartment! We had to go out at buy cleaners for 75USD and clean it completely our selves.

Further to this review, we contacted the owner who said that he will discuss issues with the cleaners and will make sure that all apartments are cleaned thoroughly prior to each rental so that the $75 cleaning fee is justified. He also added that when notified of issues, they are always willing to step in and rectify the issues during the renters' stay.

Further to this review, the owner contacted us to explain that he and a maintenance person tend to the apartment and the building regularly to ensure it is in good condition. Each apartment is cleaned thoroughly in between bookings and the owner will make sure that this is being done to a high standard. New pillows and bedding have been purchased for the apartment. The mouse was taken care of during this rental and the building was exterminated for all pests and the owner confirmed there have been no issues since.
