Modern studio in the heart of the Marais area

Neighborhood:
This studio is situated between rue Beaubourg and rue du Temple and just beside the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, an arts complex devoted to modern and contemporary art and design; it is a particularly colorful structure made of steel and glass with exposed pipes. The apartment is also close to Les Halles Mall, meaning it is short walking distance to the Louvre and the adjoining Jardin des Tuileries, as well as to the Seine with its unique islands -- Ile de la Cite (Notre Dame) and the delightful Ile Saint Louis. In addition to assorted French traditional and international restaurants and cafes, there are many conveniences in this neighborhood.
The nearby Châtelet-Les Halles underground train station, connected to the Forum Les Halles, is a major transportation hub with five metro lines and three RER lines (suburban train).
Premises:
This 15m² (approx. 160 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the sixth floor (seventh in the USA) of a 19th century building with an elevator. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and opens into a corridor leading to another door with an intercom; this opens to a nice courtyard.
The 8m² (approx. 85 sq. ft.) living room has a double-glazed window with rolling shutters; it overlooks the street with a southern exposure. The room is furnished with a double-size bed, a bedside table, a square dining table with chairs, wardrobes and small chests of drawers. It is also equipped with a flat screen TV (with cable) and a stereo.
The open kitchen has two double-glazed windows with rolling shutters that overlook a courtyard. It is equipped with two vitro-ceramic burners topped by a cooker hood, a microwave oven, a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster and has a Granite floor.
The bathroom is equipped with a shower with glass doors, a washbasin, a toilet, an electric towel-drying rack and has a Granite floor.
The nearest metro stations are Rambuteau (line 11) and Hotel de Ville (lines 1 and 11).
Heat and hot water are both electric and are individually metered.
