The location is ideal for those seeking a more affluent, quieter neighborhood, or even a ‘royal’ experience – after all, Kensington Palace (a royal residence still in use today) is very close by (just 0.6 km/0.4 miles to the east), as well as Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. The museum district near Imperial College, just south of Kensington Gardens, and comprised of the Science, Natural History, and Victoria & Albert Museums, are all about 1.4 km/0.9 miles to the southeast. For dining, just a bit south (0.2 km/0.1 miles) or a bit north (0.6 km/0.4 miles), you’ll find plenty of places to eat from a variety of international and local cuisines, including local pubs and wine bars, to experience London from. When you want to explore further into London – say, go to Knightsbridge for high-end shopping, or elsewhere – the High Street Kensington station of the London Underground (subway) is only 0.6 km/0.4 miles to the south, and there also bus stops along Kensington Church Street to take advantage of. With this locale, you will find history, museums, eateries, shopping, and plenty of other things to see and do – as well as easy access to the rest of London.
