This quirky furnished alcove studio vacation rental is located in Shoreditch, London. This area is found in the fashionable Hackney - East End area of the city. Secured with a security system, this apartment is on the basement level of a four floor refurbished warehouse building that was used as a frame workshop in the 1920s. The high ceilings and exposed brick walls serve as charming reminders of this apartment's past life, but don't worry -- it has been completely renovated to accommodate guests.
With a designated sleeping alcove, this apartment features a wide living space that opens to the well equipped kitchen. You even have a dishwasher! The living area has a dining table, a sofa bed as well as multiple seating options for guests. The funky design of this apartment is what makes this studio not only unique but comfortable and fun! Check out the decorative fireplace that has been re-purposed to store books and the boldly colored bathroom, adding a great modern flair to this accommodation.
This vacation rental is situated in the heart of the trendy and hip Shoreditch. With a wide range of cool shops, hidden bars and delicious restaurants, you will always have something to do or see. On a nice day you might want to relax at the park and Hoxton Square, where hipsters and artists are reputed to be found, just around the corner from this studio! Since this area is up-and-coming for young British artists, the neighborhood and nightlife are thriving! If you enjoy visiting stylish markets, check out the famous Brick Lane Market that is less than one mile (about 1.6 km) south of this apartment to pick up ethnic food or interesting souvenirs for your friends. The Spitafields Market is also less than a mile away, as well as the Columbia Road Flower Market! Within the neighborhood, you might want to try out the local eateries, such as La Masseria, or Ruby if you enjoy Italian cuisine. The Book Club on Leonard Street (0.5 miles/0.8km) is a great hangout place for relaxing during the day, or even if you want to grab a cup of coffee and play table tennis! If you would rather cook your own meal since you have the luxury of a private kitchen, the local grocery store, Costcutter, is just down the street. Nightlife in Shoreditch is always exciting because of the multiple bars and pubs in the nearby vicinity. Check out Happiness Forgets Bar near Hoxton Square for a fun cocktail, or visit the Royal Oak and enjoy a nice British meal and atmosphere.
The nearest tube stations are located at Old Street and Liverpool Street. At the Old Street tube stop, you can access the northern line, and at the Liverpool Street tube stop, you can access the Central, Circle, Hammersmith and City, and Metropolitan lines! For example, if you enjoy frequenting museums and would like to visit London’s famous Tate Modern, you can just catch the 26 bus near the Shoreditch church, and be there in 8 short stops! Or if you want to sight-see at Big Ben, take the 76 bus from Bevenden Street and arrive there shortly!

The apartment was indeed close to everything in the east end we wanted to see! our only complaint was the noise in the middle of the night. We weren't informed there would be other guests in the apartment above (or that there was an apartment above ours) and they were very noisy when they came in after 1AM. The walls are very thin and we could hear conversation upstairs. |

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We always ask our guests to be respectful of their neighbors - Sorry if this did not happen and you were disturbed by noise. |
