This one bedroom apartment is situated in the Midtown West neighborhood of Manhattan, New York. On the 3rd floor (considered 2nd by Europeans) of a low-rise (5 story) building from the 1940’s, this unit has southern exposure and faces the street. Entrance is secured through an intercom-buzzer system and you must take a couple of stairs to get to the elevator. Laundry facilities are available on-site.
The rental has a practical layout, hardwood floors, ample closet space, and complimentary wireless internet access, cable programming, and nationwide calls. The main entrance opens into a hallway that leads to the air-conditioned living area, which has two windows that allow the sunlight to brighten up the room, and yellow walls with white moldings. It is furnished with a sofa, coffee table, TV, DVD player, and bookshelf. To the right is the separate eat-in kitchen that’s fully equipped with the main appliances and utensils, adequate cupboard and counter space, and half-circle table for two. On the left is the bathroom, which has white tiled floors and walls, and includes a tub-shower, WC, washbasin with storage cupboard, and mirrored medicine cabinet. Next to it is the bedroom with a queen-size bed, large dresser with mirror, fan, desk and chair. Linens and towels are provided upon arrival.
The one bedroom apartment is conveniently located on 9th Avenue & 51st Street in Midtown West. You’ll be within close proximity of many delicious restaurants, including Italian eatery Abboccato (0.7 miles / 1.12km), Akdeniz (0.9 miles / 1.5 km), which specializes in Turkish cuisine, and The Bar Room (0.8 miles / 1.3km) with its American / Nouveau French dishes. During the day, visit Columbus Circle, about 9 blocks north, where you can go shopping, visit both the Time Warner Center and MAD museum, and marvel at the striking architecture of Hearst Tower, the first ‘green’ high-rise building in NYC! Also in that area, you can rent a bike to go for a ride in Central Park, which has a lake, zoo, theatre, café, and many fields where you can play outdoor sports. The apartment is just steps away from the famous Times Square, as well as the Theatre District—so make sure to catch a performance during your stay!
