Take a look at this Upper East Side 1-bedroom apartment, found in a prewar building that has been renovated, but retains the charms of the past. The apartment is on the 4th floor of a 5-story walk-up building, allowing it the benefit of receiving natural light unblocked by other buildings. There is an intercom system at the entry for you to buzz your guests in.
Exposed brick, high ceilings and hardwood floors are the trademark of classic New York apartments, and this one has them all. Lovely glass-paned French doors provide access to the bedroom, which is furnished with a double size bed, and has two closets in addition to the built-in shelving nestled above the bed, perfect for storing and displaying your belongings. There is even a third closet in the living room! The separate kitchen is off the living room, with a dining area for your meals at home.
The living room receives natural light from the north, overlooking the street, while the bedroom and bathroom have windows that look onto a neighboring building.
Found on East 84th Street, this one bedroom apartment is nicely situated between the calm found on the bank of the East River, and the famed Upper East Side shopping thoroughfares such as Park Avenue, to the west. Stroll a blcok east and you can relax in the Carl Schurz Park and admire Gracie Mansion, the home of New York's mayor, situated on the edge of the park. Just around the corner on 1st Avenue, you'll find plenty of local eateries, and there is a Duane Reade pharmacy a little over 2 blocks away. A walk toward Central Park will take you past some of New York City's most famous streets, including Lexington, Park, and of course, Madison Avenue.
The closest subway station is 86 Street / 2nd Avenue (about 0.3mi or 500m) offers the Q train for access into Downtown Manhattan.
Also nearby is the both the 4/5/6 line express and local trains running, on 86th and Lexington, making commuting around Manhattan a little easier.

This apartment is fantastic! I stayed here for 6 months in 2019. The location is great. You're 15 minutes walk from Central Park, 5 minutes from Carl Schurz Park and the East River (a great place to run/jog) and 5 minutes from the Q train. The street is quiet and residential, but only a short distance from grocery stores, restaurants, transport, and amenities like the post office, hair dressers etc. The apartment has a nice view out over the street. The apartment is a great size, especially the kitchen which is full sized (a rarity in NYC!!) and recently renovated. Cable and wifi work well. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here. |

Very quiet apartment, located in a pleasant area. The sofa should be replaced: it is sagging and uncomfortable. The rest of the equipment is satisfying. |

This is a great apartment. If you are looking for a place that is a bit quieter, this is the place for you. Not only is it just a couple blocks after from a lovely park, but the owner is so helpful and responsive to our needs. I loved living here and made my New York experience so delightful. Thank you! |
