This fully furnished one bedroom apartment is on the 5th floor (equivalent to the European 4th floor) of a pre-war walk-up building, located in the heart of the East Village of New York City. The 400 sq ft. (approx. 37m2) apartment has hardwood floors throughout and has access to wireless Internet.
In the air-conditioned living space you’ll find a flat-screen television with cable access and large window that welcomes light into the room. It is also furnished with a sofa bed. The adjoining kitchen is open to the living room, and is fully equipped with a gas stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker with a dining space nearby. In the bedroom there is a double bed, which is situated right near another sun-inviting window. The all-tile white bathroom features a tub-shower, sink, and toilet.
The surrounding East Village neighborhood provides endless accessibility to restaurants, shopping and New York nightlife. For your laundry needs, a landromat is located right across the street. Just one block north of the apartment building is the family-oriented Stuyvesant Town – Peter Cooper Village. Right next to “Stuy-Town,” Beth Israel Medical Center and Stuyvesant Square can be found as well. Walk west 4 blocks to Union Square Park, where the Greenmarket is hosted on certain days of the week, bringing regional farmers into NYC to sell their fresh produce and other items.
This one bedroom at 13th Street & First Avenue is located a block away from the 1 Avenue / 14 Street L train station. A walk to the Union Square station also provides access to the N, R, 4, 5, and 6 trains. You can explore all of Manhattan with ease from this location!
Please note that the heating system is radiator steam, which can cause loud clanging when in use during the cold season. Also, cats are not allowed in this apartment.
