The lively and trendy Montparnasse district is famous for the highest local skyscraper showing a singular view over Paris, and for the large number of theaters, cinemas, international and select restaurants and nice cafes. Montparnasse was once the favorite neighborhood for artists, who used to be called the "Montparnos." The World Fair of 1889 and the artistic life already so rich in Montmartre had attracted many artists who then chose this popular district for its central location in Paris. Much of that atmosphere remains today.
This apartment is located on the first floor (2nd in the USA) of a 19th century walk-up building. It has an eastern exposure. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded system and opens into a corridor with a second door protected by an intercom.

The apartment is perfect for those who like to be in the middle of things, with windows opening onto a busy (mostly pedestrian) street that you can see well from the second story, cafes in the area open until quite late, easy transportation to everywhere in Paris, and everything one could need within walking distance (including a bookstore next door and two fabulous outdoor markets!).
