This fully furnished two bedroom apartment is located in the center of Nice (Port area), French Riviera, in the South of France. It is located on the 2nd floor (considered 3rd floor by Americans) of a 3-story 19th century walk-up townhouse with on-site laundry facilities. It is on a quiet dead-end street and therefore has available parking space for your vehicle.
Living in this apartment feels like living in a house thanks to the large terrace. You will appreciate the luxury of having the entire floor to yourself, as well as sitting outside in the shade, enjoying the warm summer months. A large balcony, accessible from the living room, offers southern exposure overlooking the greenery of the street below. The living room itself is nice and bright, featuring comfortable sofas and bright colored fittings. There is also a TV and a telephone—it will come in handy when making reservations for your favorite nearby restaurants! Beside it lies the open kitchen, equipped with all of the major appliances needed to prepare your meals and even try out some local cuisine recipes. The first bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds, which can be combined to create a king-size bed. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, in addition to a little office table so that you can work from home.
The two bedroom apartment is located near the Port, where you will find various restaurants and cafes. Coco Beach, on boulevard Franck Pilatte, is within a stone's throw, where you can enjoy snorkeling, swimming and diving. From there, you can take a pleasant waterfront walkway to Villefranche. Everything is within reach, including the Old Town and the famous Cours Saleya, where every morning you'll find a Provencal market with fruits, vegetables and flowers, and on Mondays, antique dealers sell unique furniture pieces. If you are in Nice during the month of February, do not miss the annual carnival, held at the very beginning of the month! The Old Town contains a treasure trove of Baroque art from the 17th and 18th centuries. There are many churches along the narrow streets of this fascinating and timeless district of Nice. This city is nestled between the hills and tucked into the unrivaled setting of the "Baie des Anges", famous for its liveliness and its dynamism. After Paris, Nice is the city that with the highest number of museums in France—among them are the Chagall Museum and the Matisse Museum. Furthermore, Nice is also a real melting pot— you can see it in the diversity of its architecture, which has traces of its eventful past and influences from all over the world.
Aside from walking, another way to get around the city is to use the Tramway (found off the Rue Barla). The train station is a little further, just off the Rue Arsen, and is just one stop from the Nice-Ville station, from where you can access the high-speed TGV for a five-hour ride to Paris. Or you can visit the beautiful Villefranche, which is toward the East and just one stop away. Additionally, buses to Villefranche and Monaco stop at the Port, where you can also take a boat to the Iles de Lérins and Saint Tropez, or a ferry to Corsica. The Nice airport is just a 15-minute drive away, or you can take the airport shuttle (2 blocks from the apartment). This airport offers daily flights to/from New York. Otherwise, most international flight connections are made through Paris. An Italian escapade is only 20-30 minute car ride away!
