This fully furnished two bedroom apartment is located in the heart of the colorful village of villefranche sur Mer, between Nice and Monaco on the French Riviera in the south of France. The apartment on the first French floor (2nd for Americans) of an elegant 19th century building (intercom access) located on a charming pedestrian square in the old village of Villefranche a few blocks from the sea.
This accommodation has been renovated at a very high standard including air conditioning and very nice stone tiles and internet access. The kitchen is equipped with high standard hardware. There is glass dining table which comfortably seats 6 persons.
The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with marble, tub (with shower device) and toilet.
The occupants of the second bedroom have access to a private bathroom also with marble, walk-in shower and toilet. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer.
The living room and one of the bedrooms of this vacation rental open onto a balcony with nice views onto a pedestrian street, the Saint Pierre Chapel and the sea.
Cafés, restaurants and shops are only minutes away and the waterfront and lovely sandy beach are within easy walking distance from the apartment. Living in the heart of the old town is a wonderful experience as this charming place is still a very active French village.This part of the village has many pedestrian-only and historic streets. One of the most famous streets –called Rue Obscure– has been built into the rampart that formerly protected the town. It is listed historic monument. The beautiful and colorful Chapel Jean Cocteau is nearby.
The historical village of Villefranche Sur Mer, French riviera, in the south of France overlooks the harbor and the Villefranche Bay, considered one of the most beautiful on the Riviera.
Monaco is only a few kilometers away and Nice, the regional center and seat of the department, is just 9.6 km (6 miles) to the west. Here, the Nice train station is served by the high-speed TGV (the "Train Grande Vitesse," only five hours to Paris), and its international airport (Nice-Côte d’Azur) has daily flights from New York. Otherwise most international flight connections are made through Paris. With a car, Italy can be reached in as little as 35 km (22 miles)!
