I really loved the apartment we stayed at in Spanish Harlem. It was so close to the 6 line, it was really easy to get to anywhere in Manhattan. The vacation rental was bright, clean and airy - in an up and coming area it had only been built very recently so the bathroom and kitchen were brand new. There was plenty of room for all our stuff with the huge closets and laundry was in the basement. I am recommending it to my friends who are visiting New York City this year. Thanks New York Habitat for having such a great apartment available. Thanks again. |

Once again we had a wonderful New York experience, next time we will visit for no less than 1 month so we have time to do everything we want to do.

[The owners] were excellent landlords, very friendly and warm even both personally welcoming us to the vacation rental and New York at midnight. [...]
The apartment was clean, comfortable and big enough to stretch out and feel like we lived in New York, rather than a hotel room.
The bed was very welcoming and comfortable, the kitchen had everything you needed to cook a gourmet dinner.[...]

We enjoyed the location [El Barrio) although we think that some people may not like it. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He even gave us a guided tour through the neighborhood showing us places to eat, do the groceries, etc. He even taught us the basics to dealing with the NYC subway system. He also provided us with brochures of New York City and a set of 50 cards on New York walks. We used these cards a lot, which allowed us visiting great and relatively quiet (considering it is New York City) places. |
