This very pleasant studio apartment has one bathroom and measures approximately 500 square feet. It sleeps two people.
The apartment is both bright and quiet and is located on the second floor of a prewar building in Manhattan's Upper East Side. It is furnished in a contemporary fashion and faces the garden. The building has a doorman who is on duty part time.
Upon entering this beautiful air-conditioned studio, the single brick wall and the fireplace immediately catch the eye. Together with the polished hardwood floors and the contemporary wooden furniture they enhance the room's warm and cozy ambience.
A cream-colored rug covers the floor in front of the fireplace, while a chest of drawers to the left of it provides storage space and supports the television. A framed black and white picture is hung on the wall between the two rectangular windows, which allow an abundant amount of sunlight to enter the room.
Two single beds, for which sheets are provided, are tucked against the wall.
The open kitchen is clean and practical, and is fully equipped with a refrigerator and freezer, a four-ring gas cooker and a microwave oven. Cream-colored cupboards provide space for storing dishes and other kitchen utensils.
The beige-tiled bathroom contains a bathtub with shower, a washbasin and a toilet. Occupants are provided with towels.
Residents have access to the building's lovely garden, which provides the perfect space in which to relax and unwind. Containing a curving high-backed bench, and several tables and chairs, it also allows building residents to get to know each other better.
Manhattan's Upper East Side still remains a much sought after area. The green lawns and shady corners of Central Park are only a stone's throw away, and numerous fantastic antique shops, art galleries and eateries line the neighborhood's streets. Flanking the park on Fifth Avenue is the world-famous and aptly named Museum Mile, along which are found the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum. After dark, the neighborhood's many nightclubs open their doors to a hip crowd who dance through the night into the early hours of the morning.
The nearest subway stations are located only two blocks away from the apartment. Cross-town busses pass at regular intervals, and taxis can be hailed anywhere at any hour of the day or night.
