This fully furnished one bedroom apartment is located on the 2nd floor (considered 1st by Europeans) of a walk-up low-rise building in Sunnyside, Queens. The building is secured with 24-hour video surveillance, and has a buzzer/intercom. There is complimentary internet access available in the apartment.
The rental features hardwood floors and pastel yellow walls, which nicely echo the name of the neighborhood. The living room of the apartment contains two windows, a double futon bed, a flat-screen TV with cable and a round wooden dining table with two chairs. Here you can enjoy home-cooked meals that you can prepare in the nearby kitchen. The open kitchen has a tiled floor and is equipped with a fridge and freezer, oven plus stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Like the living room, the bedroom of the rental is fully air-conditioned, has a window to let in natural light, a double-sized bed and a dresser. The bathroom contains a bathtub with shower, WC and washbasin.
You can find the one bedroom apartment at 48th Street at the crossing of 43rd Avenue and Skillman Avenue in Sunnyside. Sunnyside is a residential New York City neighborhood with many green spaces and tree-lined streets. You can find restaurants, cafes and shops all along Skillman Avenue. The restaurants Quaint and Claret Wine Bar have both received great reviews, and are located less than 3 blocks from the apartment. There is also a gym and a library nearby.
To travel to other New York neighborhoods, you can catch the 7 train at 52 Street / Roosevelt Avenue (5 blocks away). This subway will take you to Grand Central Station in Manhattan after just 8 stops.
