This room for rent is situated on the top-floor of an early 20th century landmark building, 8-stories (7 for Europeans) with an elevator and on-site laundry facilities. The available bedroom is in a three-bedroom apartment found in the heart of the NYC Upper West Side neighborhood.
The bedroom is directly off of the entrance, providing a great deal of privacy as you will have your own little alcove with private bathroom and bedroom. The bedroom is furnished almost as its own studio, with a sofa, wingback, queen size bed (not as pictured), dresser and shelving. Enjoy the direct view over the Upper West skyline thanks to your top-floor position. You will have a closet to help you sort out your things, and your personal bathroom offers the access to private bathroom a tub/shower. Be aware that the half bath in the bedroom itself is not functional and is used as a storage space.
There is access to a shared kitchen just down the hall, equipped with most necessary appliances (microwave, oven, dishwasher…). This part of the apartment has several common areas, shared with the other roommates, with two linked living rooms and a dining area. The biggest living room has a north-east view over the nearby buildings and has a TV with cable surrounded by sofas.
This room for rent is on West 83rd Street, just half a block from the gorgeous Central Park, perfect for jogs and strolls, and 2 blocks north of the iconic Museum of Natural History, as seen in so many movies and shows. The neighborhood of the Upper West Side in Manhattan is an exciting area with two bustling shopping and eating avenues: Amsterdam (2 blocks away) and Broadway (3 blocks), but plenty of restaurants and cafes are also just around the corner on Columbus Avenue. With the Lincoln Center to the south and Columbia University to the north, there are plenty of cultural opportunities in this part of New York City.
The nearest train station is less than 4 blocks away and will give you access to the B/C subway lines towards downtown Manhattan or uptown to Harlem.
Please note that there is a dog in this apartment, cared for by the roommates.
