The East Village is a very young neighborhood owing to the fact that several major universities are located in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is located from 14th Street to Houston Street between 4th Avenue and the Bowery to the East River. The neighborhood is also home to many restaurants and shops representing the eclectic nature of the neighborhood.
