This full service building in the Upper East Side of Manhattan features an elegant marble lined entrance and lobby and hotel-like amenities for the year round enjoyment of residents. The apartment share is located on the 9th floor (considered 8th by Europeans) of a 30-story elevator building.

This area for rent is in a 750 sqf (70 sqm) apartment lined with hardwood floors and decorated with contemporary furnishings. The bedroom is found just off the main living room, separated by sliding doors. Thanks to its wall-to-wall windows, this bedroom area benefits from plenty of natural light. Here you will find everything you might need for your visit to New York City: a full size bed, desk, wardrobe and a TV with cable access for your entertainment. WiFi internet and air conditioning are also available throughout the apartment.

The main living room area, kitchen and bathroom are shared with your roommates. The shared part of the living room has been tastefully decorated with a blue and chocolate color scheme to create a modern and welcoming ambiance. It is furnished with a sofa, dining table and chairs and also has a TV. In addition to the basic amenities, the kitchen is also equipped with a microwave and dishwasher. The bathroom's dark blue tiles, glass vessel sink and bathtub screened by a glass door give it a very modern look.

Please note that two cats inhabit this apartment, cared for by the roommates.

This Upper East Side apartment share is situated in a prime residential location, at 1st Avenue and 93rd Street, one block of the East River and the Asphalt Green playing fields, pool and fitness center and 0.6 miles (965 meters) of Carl Schurz Park. This park, hidden along the East River, is a great place to read, picnic, stroll and enjoy the beautiful views of the river and the Roosevelt Island Lighthouse. It also hosts Gracie Mansion, the 18th century mansion that serves as official residence of the mayor of New York City. The neighborhood also features gourmet markets such as Butterfield Market only one street north on 93 rd street and Eli’s Vinegar Factory (0.2 miles / 320 meters) away. If you like to dine out instead of cooking at home, there are many restaurants with multi-ethnic cuisines. For Italian specialties, head two streets west to Delizia 92 (also 0.2 miles / 320 m away).

The closest subway station is 96 Street / Lexington Avenue, served by line 6 that runs north up to the Bronx and south to lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. The 86 Street / Lexington Avenue station conveniently has two more subway lines, the 4 and 5. They offer express service to lower Manhattan, with only two stops between your two bedroom apartment and Grand Central Terminal, making transit to and from New York very easy.

Very nice owners, very clean and cosy apartment. It is a pity that the overall perfect experience has been darkened at the end by money issues - I was not refunded the full deposit, and this for no reason.

Hello dear Anna, I call you dear because you always will be in our hearts and thoughts. You are a very special person.
About your review, belive me I'm sorry you didn't take what happened, in the right way.
We always make sure our guests get the best care, love and concern.
We been hosting for about 3 years and so far no one had one bad thing to say about us, everything went very smoothly with all my lovely girls.
I want to explain what happened.
I always give the security deposit back to the guest in cash,, wich was never a problem for them. I wanted to do the same thing with you, but you didn't want to accept it like that, asking me to deposit it in to your bank account. I agreed to that, not knowing that it was going to be a charge, if I'm not mistaken was $33 or 40 dollars. If this was a decision coming from me I wwould definitely pay for it but you were the one that ask for to do it that way.
Acording with the contract, the tenant holds the security deposit and can discount money for any additional expenses.
I hope this clarify how things really happened, I wouldn't do anything wrong to break the opportunity that New York Habitat gives me of offering my home to girls I know are going to be confortable and happy in a very safe environment.
Sorry Anna I wish things didn't end that way.

The apartment was very clean and in excellent condition! The same applies to the house. The apartment's good location was particularly convenient. The subway station is just a few minutes walk away and all the important stores (like food stores, banks, restaurants and cleaning stores) are right next to the house.

What particularly stands out is the roommates who are really very nice and kind-hearted people!
