The Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York is historically known for being a place for immigrants to call their new home. Now, it has a charm that reflects this eclectic neighborhood of cultures, trendy bars, and a fashionable attitude. This two bedroom furnished apartment can now be your new home at Grand Street and Clinton Street. The apartment is in a mid-century high-rise building with an elevator, laundry facilities, and a balcony.
Please note: This is a shared apartment. The room for rent is private; however, the living room (light use is requested), kitchen, and bathroom are shared with roommates. Please note that the roommates are the owner and two children.
Inside this two bedroom apartment share is a space with checkerboard parquet hardwood floors, eclectic furnishings, and a view of the Manhattan high rises. The living room is complete with shelving along the walls, a royal colored sofa, and a cable TV. On the balcony, take in the view of the river over a cup of morning coffee. In the open kitchen, make dinner with the luxury of stainless steel appliances, counter space, and a dishwasher to clean up. The room to rent is painted an ocean blue and canary yellow. The queen sized bed and bedding is supplied along with closet space and shelving. The bathroom offers a tiled space to get ready for your day.
This Lower East Side neighborhood has the appeal from the iconic NYC fire escapes that adds to the architecture. The ultra-cool spots are to be uncovered as you explore each under the radar bars, restaurants, and stores. What used to be an concealed activity, order a drink at Back Room (0.3mi/550m), a speakeasy-themed lounge where it is hard to hide the fun. For a sophisticated night out, try The Ten Bells (0.3mi/550m), a European wine bar with tapas (small plates) to share. Finally, for the history buff, hear the stories from the people that first lived in the LES at the Tenement Museum (0.4mi/650m).
Transportation around New York City is available on the F, J, M, and Z lines at Delancey Street / Essex Street (0.3mi/450m) or East Broadway / Canal Street / Rutgers Street (0.2mi/400m). Here, the F train is only one stop away from Brooklyn where you can see the skyline from across the East River!

I've been living in New York for a month, in the Lower East Side, a quiet neighbourhood.

There was a good and relaxing atmosphere in the house, and the apartment complex has the full living support from a doorman, mail carrier service, auto lock, parks and laundry area. The community there is great, residencial tenants seem to help each other a lot, which I liked a lot. My favorite about this place was the location that gets you close to the bars, restaurants, parks, gallaries and shops, also a good breeze and the view of the Williamsburg bridge. about 30min subway or taxi to midtown, and easy access to Brooklin and other areas in Lower Manhattan. Walking distance to Soho and East Village. I liked that I can have privacy and tight schedule, and still get to relax in the living space.
