Neighborhood:
The Marais area is in high demand because almost all of its pre-Revolutionary architecture has been preserved. In the vicinity of this street are the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, the wide Les Halles Mall, and the well-known pedestrian rue des Gravilliers. It is also a residential and commercial street with nice greengrocers, fishmongers, restaurants and cafes. A little further is the royal Place des Vosges, the homes of many historic personalities, and a number of unique museums. Most of the important points of interest such as the Louvre Museum, City Hall, and the Seine River are in fair walking distance.
Premises:
This 20m² (approx. 215 sq. ft.) studio apartment with a southern exposure is located on the fifth floor (sixth in the USA) of a 17th century walk-up building. A coded security system protects the main entrance gate.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into the living room and the open kitchen; to the left are the bathroom and toilet.
The 14m² (approx. 150 sq. ft.) living room has one window facing the street. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a coffee table, a dining table with two matching chairs, a stereo, a TV, a DVD player, a closet, a vacuum cleaner, an iron, and some shelves.
The open eat-in kitchen is equipped with two vitro ceramic burners, a refrigerator/freezer, a washing machine, a microwave, a kettle, a coffee maker and a toaster
The bathroom is equipped with a shower, a toilet, and a washbasin.
The nearest metro station is Sentier (L3).
Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered.
